Slovenian Anti-SLAPP presentation at ALTRA

On November 8, 2023, as part of the PATFox project, lawyer Anuška Podvršič addressed the pressing issue of SLAPPs during a presentation at the humanitarian organization ALTRA. The lecture aimed to inform attendees at the Altra Day Centre, including both visitors and volunteers, as well as the broader public.

The presentation commenced by providing an introduction to SLAPPs, highlighting significant cases, and exploring the repercussions and challenges faced by individuals who become targets of such lawsuits. Furthermore, the discussion delved into the draft of the anti-SLAPP directive, emphasizing its crucial role in combating the misuse of the legal system.

This comprehensive overview sought to increase awareness and empower the audience with essential knowledge about SLAPP lawsuits. As a result, the public has become more discerning and aware of the significant harm caused by such legal actions, fostering a critical perspective towards them and understanding the extent of the damage they can inflict.
